Are you passionate about advancing behavioral health and addressing urgent mental health needs? As our Clinical Director, you’ll lead impactful programs that prioritize mental health care and behavioral health equity for Black/African American communities in San Francisco. This role combines expertise in crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, and fostering racial equity to promote inclusion, belonging, and transformative client outcomes.
Essential Duties
- Oversee daily mental health and behavioral health operations to achieve program goals.
- Supervise diverse clinical teams, ensuring alignment with mental health
- Lead crisis intervention efforts, emphasizing harm reduction and collaborative care models.
- Deliver services, including counseling, case management, and group therapy, for mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, and co-occurring disorders.
- Train staff in motivational interviewing to enhance client engagement and improve outcomes.
- Ensure all behavioral health services adhere to documentation and compliance standards.
- Foster culturally competent practices that promote inclusion, belonging, and team excellence.
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Licensed or registered with the BBS or Board of Psychology.
- Three years of experience delivering mental health and behavioral health services to underserved populations.
- Expertise in crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, and racial equity
- Proven ability to supervise diverse clinical teams and guide staff development
Preferred Skills
- Extensive knowledge of behavioral health and mental health needs in Black/African American
- Experience in counseling, case management, and trauma-informed care
- Familiarity with harm reduction principles and motivational interviewing best practices.
